MERI, from the time of it's inception, has held the vision of a world-class premier Institute. Our courses are, therefore, structured to suit the industry demand of the time, constantly seeking motivation from the Global Shipping Industry.

Plato (428 BC - 348 BC) said -
"The direction in which education starts a man will determine his future life."
Our 4-year degree course module recognises the wisdom in what was stated by the great philosopher hundreds of years ago! While preparing the students for Marine Industry through extensively covered theoretical classes, practical engineering education at the in-campus workshop, out-of-campus Shipyard & Shipboard training, the curriculum ensures sufficient exposure to Electronic, Computer & Information technologies.

As per requirement of the regulatory bodies like DGS, AICTE, JU, MERI requires syllabus & course curriculum at regular interval of 5 years or earlier if needed.

In order to meet the demand of the shipping industry course curriculum of MERI has been revised in academic year 2006-07. As per revised curriculum cadets proceed to sea for on board training. By virtue of this training MERI cadets are eligible for appear MEO Class-IV Part-B examination immediately.
